Applying design principles and current design trends of gradients, large type, and overlapping elements — the ink in water imagery, symbolising free-flowing creative potential, was created to inspire prospective students to apply for an early offer into the design degree. Two versions of the posters were created, a light version and dark version, used over 2 years.

Other collateral including postcards, social media banners, web banners and emails banners were also created to support this event.

To promote the event, a unique look was created by extracting and converting colour photos of several musical instruments to a monochromatic theme, then placing them in a composition reminiscent of 3D floating models, bringing music into a modern and visual space.

This poster was designed to promote The Necks, a cult Australian experimental jazz band, and their live performance at the Playhouse Theatre. The free-flowing abstract forms are a visual representation of the experimental music escaping the confines of the creative minds (and talented hands) of the artists performing.

Anthropology is a vast subject to represent with a single image. By combining multiple images through the use of a digital collage, I was able to tell the story of what the study of anthropology is and bring the richness of human civilisation into one image.
