About

‘The Way of the Reformer: Gough Whitlam in His Century’ was an exhibition commissioned by the Whitlam Institute within Western Sydney University to mark the centenary of the birth of EG Whitlam; a look back at his early life, his journey to become one of Australia’s greatest Prime Ministers, his achievements in office and his legacy.

Taking inspiration from a Gough Whitlam election poster, the colour scheme of navy blue and orange was used throughout the exhibition. Working towards a brief from the curator, I created the exhibition’s visual identity and applied it to the exhibition elements which included 20 interpretation panels, 3 large standing panels, and 5 hanging fabric banners.
